I have been a member of a several professional organizations dedicated to the improvement of learning professions including ATD, ISPI, and eLearning Guild. This has forwarded me the opportunity to expand my network to include a number of talented individuals whom have passed on their knowledge through mentoring, workshops, and networking events.

The vast majority of my motivation has stemmed from attending local networking events hosted by local ATD chapters and user groups. Each time I have the opportunity to attend such an event, I feel regenerated being surrounded by people with the same passion for learning and development as myself and always walking away with a new piece of knowledge.

In the past few years, I have actively participated in the Memphis Articulate User Group where we meet monthly to share tips and ideas. I also enjoy passing knowledge forward to others, so it was a pleasure to offer an Articulate Storyline demonstration to my EDCI 69600 classmates, as well as, offer additional guidance and support to classmates wanting to learn Captivate and Storyline for their eLearning projects.

Reflection and Future goals

My future goals are to expand my network by attending a number of conferences offered by ATD and eLearning Guild in the next few years. It’s also my goal to begin working towards the Certified Learning Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) certification offered by ATD starting in late 2018 or early 2019.
